ASA 114: Catamaran

Cruising Catamarans Made Easy

This course will provide you with a more advanced knowledge base, teaching you the essential skills you’ll need to safely command a 30-50 foot sailing catamaran in moderate to heavy winds (up to 30 knots) and sea conditions by day in coastal waters along the Chesapeake Bay, the Caribbean, and beyond.

Topics cover the catamaran structure, components & features, performance under sail and power, boat systems, seamanship and safety, heavy weather operation, and emergency response.
